Choosing to attend a residential high school is a big decision for students and their families. At the Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences, we understand the responsibility that comes with that choice, and we are committed to building a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where students thrive academically and personally.

ASHS will be more than a school – it will be a community. Located in Demopolis, Ala., our campus is designed to foster meaningful relationships, personal growth, and a strong sense of belonging. Students from across the state will live and learn together, developing connections that will last a lifetime. With dedicated residential staff, educators, and healthcare mentors on-site, students will always have guidance, support, and encouragement along the way.

Our students will live in supervised dorms that are structured to promote both independence and community. Beyond the classroom, they’ll participate in activities that develop leadership, wellness, and personal growth. Whether it’s studying with a friend, exploring a new hobby, volunteering locally, or simply learning how to live alongside others, life at ASHS will be full of opportunity.

Students will benefit from a close partnership with Whitfield Regional Hospital, gaining real-world experience that deepens their understanding of the healthcare field and connects their studies to real lives and communities.
